Total building activity showed signs of recovery in June, with a 17% year-on-year increase in the number of new building permits, which corresponds to an 11.4% increase in volumes, according to the statistics office or ELSTAT. Permits issued totaled 1,747. In the first half of the year, new permits increased by 16.6% year-on-year while volumes were up 22%.
According to the national survey by REMAX Hellas, real estate rental prices for the current period are stable. Nevertheless, there is an upward trend that is currently forming at a rate of 5.8%, with small fluctuations by region. In the areas near Piraeus, such as Korydallos and Nikaia, 2-bedroom apartments with an area of 70 to 100 m2 are still in demand, with prices ranging from 450 to 800 euros.
